This Australian children’s television series was filmed in Brisbane, Australia and aired on the ABC in 1997.
Based on the children’s books by David McRobbie, it centred on the life of 12-year-old Wayne Wilson (Jeffrey Walker), showing the world both as he would like it and the way it really was.
His family move to a new home, and Wayne teams up with local kids Squocka (Jah’shua McAvoy), Violet (Tracey-Louise Smith) and Rosie (Brooke Harman).
Through his limitless imagination, Wayne had wild fantasies of his perfect world.
The series won a 1996 AFI (Australian Film Institute) Award for Best Children’s Television Drama.
