Additionally, she acted in Slap Shot (1977) alongside her father and in Robert Altman’s 1978 satirical film A Wedding.


She also produced ABC Theatre’s presentation of Michael Cristofer’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play The Shadow Box. Paul Newman directed the adaptation, which starred her stepmother, Joanne Woodward. Susan Kendall Newman earned an Emmy nomination for the production and a Grammy nomination for a children’s audiobook series, showcasing her versatility in both performing and producing.
