Scream’n Demons – Nostalgia Central

This line of battery-operated toy motorcycles was originally released by Hasbro in 1971 and later marketed by Matchbox.

The 7-inch choppers featured chrome accents, styled handlebars, and menacing symbols like skulls and flames. The bikes produced a loud clicking sound while in motion.

The original lineup included six different “demons”: Big Buzzard, Doom Buggy, Tiger Shark, Lunatic Fringe, Crazy Horse, and Dirty Devil.

Subsequent models (released in 1972) included Shoot’n Iron (a western-themed chopper), Transylvania Express (a horror-themed model with a vampire rider), Black Knight (a medieval-themed bike with a rider in dark armour) and Iron Eagle (the final model released in 1973).

Hasbro also sold two stunt playsets – the Daredevil Dragout! and Daredevil Challenge! – for racing the bikes.
