Created and written by Clayton Moore, this short-lived sitcom from BBC Scotland was set in Glasgow’s boxing world.

Vinnie Binns (Kenny Ireland) was the seedy owner of a local boxing gym. While at a pub, Vinnie spotted a young man named Hance Gordon (John Kazek) participating in a chaotic brawl.

Recognising Hance’s raw fighting potential, Vinnie took him under his wing as a promising boxing prospect under erratic trainer Neillie (Jake D’Arcy)

Both Vinnie and Hance fell for Vikki Brown (Diana Hardcastle), who was researching the morality of boxing for her PhD, and the girlfriend of Norman Banks (Jonathan Kydd), the head of an activist organisation called “Doctors Against Boxing.”

Sean Scanlan played Vinnie’s underhanded boxing arch-rival, Pat Hunter, who was eager to entice Hance into his boxing stable.
