Kim Possible is an ordinary high school cheerleader living in the (fictional) town of Middleton. In her spare time, she moonlights as a world-saving, freelance secret agent.

Kim (voiced by Christy Carlson Romano) is confident, highly athletic, intelligent, and a perfectionist.

But while she effortlessly handles lasers and kung-fu fights, she frequently struggles with normal teenage awkwardness, school crushes, and peer pressure.

Accompanied by her clumsy and perpetually hungry best friend, Ron Stoppable (voiced by Will Friedle), his pet naked mole-rat, Rufus (voiced by Nancy Cartwright), and 10-year-old computer prodigy Wade Load (voiced by Tahj Mowry), who manages Kim’s website from his bedroom, Kim travels the globe to thwart the eccentric schemes of various colourful supervillains.

Her iconic catchphrase, “Call me, beep me, if you wanna reach me,” paired with her signature Kimmunicator chime, became an instant pop-culture staple.

Kim’s arch-nemesis, Dr Drakken (John DiMaggio), is a blue-skinned, megalomaniacal mad scientist whose overly complicated world-domination plots are regularly undone by his own incompetence.

Drakken is accompanied by his sarcastic, green-flame-wielding mercenary sidekick, Shego (Nicole Sullivan), who is highly competent, athletic, and easily annoyed by Drakken’s foolishness.

Other notable villains include the billionaire father and son duo Señor Senior, Sr. and Señor Senior, Jr., the genetically-mutated monkey-obsessed Lord Monkey Fist, and the golf-themed villain Duff Killigan.

Actors who provided guest voices in the series included Elliott Gould, Adam West, David Cassidy, Ron Perlman, Debbie Reynolds, Fred Savage, Felicity Huffman, Ricardo Montalban, George Takei, and Fred Willard.

The series spawned two animated made-for-television films: Kim Possible: A Sitch in Time (2003) and Kim Possible: So the Drama (2005), the latter of which was originally intended as the series finale.

Disney released a live-action television film adaptation in 2019 starring Sadie Stanley as Kim and Sean Giambrone as Ron.
