Mike Walsh Show regular Jeanne Little – one of the most popular guests on the show with her catch-cry of “Ooooh aaah! Dahling!” and a natural flair for comedy, musical performances and fashion – left that show at the end of 1976, before the show moved from 0-10 (Network Ten) to the Nine Network.

Conceived by the Seven Network as a mini-Mike Walsh Show, this variety/chat show ran for six months from 27 July 1977 in an afternoon timeslot.

Her guests on the show included Stuart Wagstaff, Smokey Dawson, Chelsea Brown, Bill Collins, and Maria Venuti.

That same year, Jeanne won the coveted Gold Logie.

In 1978, she starred in the sitcom Cuckoo in the Nest, which ran for four episodes before being cancelled. She later returned to The Mike Walsh Show on the Nine Network.

Jeanne Little was diagnosed with rapid-onset Alzheimer’s disease in 2009, and was cared for in a Sydney nursing home, where her husband Barry also resided until his death in 2019. Jeanne died on 7 November 2020 at the age of 82.
