Gloria’s World is a local children’s show on KSF-TV, Channel 8 in San Francisco. It is hosted by Gloria Mundy (Deborah Raffin), a former librarian (as seen in the first two episodes) and amateur sleuth who loves a good murder mystery.

Her klutzy boyfriend, Tucker Pendleton (Barry Bostwick), is a detective with the SFPD but depends on Gloria for help in times of duress.

Stories related Gloria’s efforts to help Tucker solve crimes. The series was based on the 1978 film of the same name starring Goldie Hawn and Chevy Chase.

Regular characters included Gloria’s assistant, Stella (Mary Jo Catlett), her twin dwarf landlords, Ben (Gregory D. Rice) and Beau (John E. Rice) Bernard (who, in real life, were listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the world’s shortest living twins), Tucker’s partner, Tom Sweeney (Richard Narita) and their superior, Captain Vito Lombardi (Richard Romanus).

The series was cancelled when only five episodes had aired.
