Guests appearing in the 13 episodes of this gritty ABC crime drama included George Kennedy, Ted Knight, Robert Vaughn, John Astin, Gavin MacLeod, Vera Miles, Sydney Pollack, Natalie Trundy, and Ken Berry.

The Asphalt Jungle premiered on ABC on 2 April 1961. It had mediocre ratings and was cancelled after the 13th episode aired on 25 June 1961.

Despite the title, the series had nothing to do with W.R. Burnett’s noir classic novel or the subsequent 1950 movie.
